Slightly farther afield is Cross County Shopping Center, one of the original open air malls in the US. It is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation. Anchored by Macy’s and Sears, it offers a wide variety of shopping in over one million square feet of space.

A brief drive up the Thruway brings you to Stew Leonard Drive and Ridge Hill. Stew Leonard’s’, the “worlds largest dairy store,” Home Depot and Costco are located here. Across the highway is Ridge Hill, a multi-million square foot mixed-use development on 80 acres that is currently under construction. This will be a retail mecca once completed.
